Position Description:
A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its elite IP & Technology Transactions practice in Silicon Valley. This practice advises leading technology companies, emerging growth innovators, and strategic acquirers on complex intellectual property and commercial transactions that power transformative deals.
The role offers exposure to cutting-edge matters at the intersection of technology, IP strategy, and high-value corporate transactions within a collaborative, nationally integrated platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structure and negotiate sophisticated IP and technology-driven commercial agreements
- Support IP aspects of M&A and strategic transactions
- Advise on licensing, joint development, SaaS, technology transfer, and data-related agreements
- Partner cross-functionally with corporate, privacy, and regulatory teams
- Deliver strategic counsel to innovative growth-stage and established technology clients
Qualifications:
- J.D. graduation 2020-2022 from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials + BigLaw Pedigree
- 3–5 years of IP/technology transactions experience at a major law firm
- M&A transaction exposure preferred
- Active U.S. Bar admission (California strongly preferred)
- Strong drafting skills and ability to collaborate across offices and practice groups

Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in IP / Technology Transactions
Experience at a major law firm (AmLaw 100 strongly preferred)

Strong drafting and negotiation skills (commercial agreements)

Strategic commercial transactions
